Banner Project                    Communities and Artists Unite

The communities of Riverbend, Quarry Park, Douglasglen and Douglasdale unite to create the first of its kind, artist inspired banner project. The vision of this project is to enhance the beauty, pride and culture of SE Calgary through an outdoor art experience showcasing local artistic talent.

These banners will showcase experienced, new and upcoming artistic talent to create a destination within the cultural fabric of Calgary, and will extend along the main corridor connecting our communities from Glenmore trail to 130^th avenue.

Just imagine how beautiful we can make our communities. By working together we hope to inspire all passers-by and uplift the spirits of those who are touched by this project. We want to unite the artist community and draw out all of you who are working on your own, would like a little exposure and a chance to be part of something that makes our communities special.

We will be announcing submission guidelines soon, so get out your paints, paper and pencils and get to work. Our theme is Connection to the Land: Family, Community and the Arts.
