Southside Community Church Youth Group Our Goal: We are striving to provide a safe place for students to BE THEMSELVES. We are confronting the problems they face as young people in this generation, in this culture. We are providing a SAFE place for them to ask questions and search out the TRUTH of the living God. Everyone is welcome between grades 7-12 regardless of race, religion, past mistakes, future dreams, and regardless of what anyone says about you, you’re welcome to join us in our pursuit of the truth! Nikayla McIver is the Senior Leader of the Ministry but she works alongside an awesome group of leaders who desire to see these students make holistically healthy choices. To be updated about each weekly event send an email to Nikayla at foundnhim@hotmail.com Friday Nights We meet together every Friday night 7-10pm as a larger group to have fun and be ourselves. The last Friday of each month we attend a big city-wide youth service called UNLEASHED at Calgary Covenant Church. The rest of the month our Friday nights are spent playing big, messy games outside or hanging out in the community center learning about God’s word. Throughout the year we attend events at different churches and we love to go out into the city serving people through cleaning garbage, painting over graffiti, and helping out in whatever way we can. |
