Green Line S.E. June Open House

posted May 19, 2016, 9:05 PM by Douglas Ratke

The City of Calgary will have two open houses in June for the Green Line SE; one for Inglewood/Ramsay and 26 Avenue S.E. on June 21 and one for Lynnwood/Millican, Ogden and South Hill on June 22. You will have the opportunity to speak with City staff and share your input on how area redevelopment plans are being amended to provide for the new Green Line stations, and in the case of South Hill, how development is being planned through a station area plan.

These community plans provide rules and guidance for the type of development that makes sense in a given area - how to complement the local character, what level of density makes sense and how to transition from high to low density, or residential to commercial. It includes policies on land uses, building forms and densities, building heights, parks, transportation, contamination and housing. Developing these community plans allows us to actualize the vision that was developed by these communities in the 2015 Charrettes. Watch our video to learn more.

The City of Calgary will be using your input to finalize draft plans so that they are ready for review by the Calgary Planning Commission and pending approval, by Council in December 2016.
