Riverbend Community Association Annual General Meeting Results - June 21, 2016

On Tuesday, June 21, 2016, Riverbend Community Association held its Annual General Meeting.

One of the purposes of this meeting is to hold elections for the affected positions per the By-Laws of the Community Association.

Under the current Riverbend Community Association By-Laws and related Board motions and policies, the following positions are elected:

1)  The President, VP Operations, Secretary, and any Director whose last name starts from A to M are elected in even years.
2)  The VP Administration, Treasurer, and any Director whose last name starts from N to Z are elected in odd years.
3)  The Executive is made up of the President, VP Administration, VP Operations, Treasurer, and Secretary.
4)  Non-Executive Directors are made up of all other positions.
5)  The Board of Directors is comprised of both Executive Directors and Non-Executive Directors.
6)  Each Board of Director who is elected at an Annual General Meeting is elected for a 2 year term.

Quorum was obtained at the Communities Annual General Meeting held on June 21, 2016. 

Having said that, Riverbend Community Association is pleased to announce that the following people were elected for a 2 year term from 2016 to 2018:

1)  President - Douglas Ratke
2)  VP Operations - Ryan Munday
3)  Director - Herb Isted

Also, returning to the Board are the following:

1)  VP Administration - Eldon Neustaeter
2)  Treasurer - Walter Janzen
3)  Director - Frieda Wiebe
4)  Director - Charles Ouyang

Riverbend Community Association would also like to extend a special note of thanks to Michelle Lambert.  Michelle Lambert was the Secretary, and is returning to school to pursue her studies.  She will be missed by the Board of Directors as she did an outstanding volunteer job as Secretary (a position she held since March 2014).

Riverbend Community Association would also like to extend a special note of thanks to residents who attended the meeting, and participated in this event.

The new Board looks forward to do all it can to continue to meet the needs of its residents through their countless hours of volunteer service, and making Riverbend one of the best communities to live in here in the City of Calgary.
