On October 11, 2017, Riverbend Community held a get together with its Seniors Group to get feedback on things that they would like to see to get more engaged in the community.

As a first-time event, it was very well attended.

Ideas included:

1)  Exercise Class - This Stretch & Strength class is beginning Thursday, November 2nd at 9:30 am and will be held for 6 weeks every Thursday. Please plan to arrive about 9 am for the first class registration. The class is being held on the main floor in the Elbow River Room. There is no fee for the class.

2)  Games Night  - This has been planned to be the second Tuesday evening every month, starting at 6:30 pm. The first card night will be Tuesday, November 14th, at 6:30 pm. There will be card games planned to start with and whatever types of games the group decides to add going forward.

3)  Potluck - Another of the popular ideas that came up. Plans are not confirmed yet.

Cards and pool games are still going on every Wednesday afternoon, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, downstairs in the Heritage Room. Drop in and join the group. If it's your first time, talk to Roz who is the leader of the group. She'll be happy to meet you.

In addition, it was also suggested it might be nice to look into items that might enhance the mobility up and down the stairs, and Riverbend Community will also be looking into this as well.

If you have other ideas, please feel free to pass them on.
