Trico Centre - Fun for Everyone this Summer!

Children:
 
  • Day Camps! Trico Centre has the best! Tons of options for kids aged 3 to 15. Full day, half day, pre‐care, post‐care, weekly, and daily camps. 
  • Swimming Lessons: All summer long! From Parent & Tot all the way up to Swim Patrol. Week‐long lessons plus private lessons. 
  • Skating & Hockey: Skating lessons for all levels including teen, adult, and private. Plus register for Intro to Hockey, Power Skating/Recreational Hockey. 
  • Sportball Outdoor Soccer Program: this registered program is offered for 2‐3 yrs, 3‐5 yrs, and 6‐8 yrs over the summer.

Families: 
  • Family Fun Night is a family‐friendly drop‐in every Sunday: FREE FOR MEMBERS; Non‐members for $3 a person, your family can swim from 6:00‐8:00pm and/or play in the gym from 6‐7pm. 
  • Hockey Families: Stick & Puck: (all ages), full equipment, no contact, see schedule at www.tricocentre.ca. FREE FOR MEMBERS; $5.24 for non‐members.

Adults: 

Registered Adult Fitness offered over the summer includes:
  • Obstacle Race Training: this class was so popular, we added a summer session on Thursdays, July 2 – 30 from 6:30‐7:30pm. 
  • Stroller Fit July 6 (Mondays) and July 8 (Wednesdays) start dates. Meet new moms, enjoy the fresh air and get fit!  
  • Barre Stretch and Release July 6 start date. This class combines barre, core, and stretching. 
Members: 
  • there are more than 50 classes that you can drop into every week over the summer: see www.tricocentre.ca. 

Children & Parents: 
  • Drop‐In Gymnastics is Tuesdays, July 7, 28, August 18, 4:30 to 6:30pm. FREE FOR MEMBERS Non‐members $10 for 1 parent & 1 child. 
  • Drop‐In Playtime is Tuesdays, July 14, 21, August 4, 11, 25 4:30‐6:00pm and Saturdays except Aug 1, 29 from 10:00‐11:30am. FREE FOR MEMBERS. Non‐ Members: $6/child and $1/adult. 
Older Adults: 
  • Balance Builders: Fall Prevention for Older Adults is running over the summer. This is a Trico Centre ‐ Alberta Health Services Partnership Program designed to prevent falls, improve balance, and help you stay strong and maintain independence. The exercises focus on core stability, balance and gait, muscle strengthening, flexibility and endurance. This program is for adults 65 years of age and over. Participants are assessed and monitored. Participants must complete an assessment before registering: call 403‐225‐5563 to complete assessment. 
Youth and Teens: 
  • Tween Night Swim: every Friday from 7 to 9pm; special theme night July 17, August 14. 
  • Youth Shinny Hockey: (13‐17 yrs) see schedule at www.tricocentre.ca FREE FOR MEMBERS.   
Special Events at Trico Centre in June, July, and August 

  • All Sport One Day Saturday, June 20, Trico Centre is one of 14 facilities across Calgary taking part in All Sport One Day: a FREE day of sport discovery for kids ages 6 to 12. There are 50+ sport activities that kids to get a taste of all across the city. Go to allsportoneday.ca to register – registration starts May 25 and some sports fill up fast. 
  • Father’s Day & Neighbour Day To celebrate Dad’s Day, members can bring a dad for free on Sunday, June 21. Plus there will be free fruit. Neighbour Day is an opportunity for Calgarians to honour the same incredible resilience and community spirit that pulled our city together during the 2013 flood. Vibrant and strong communities, with good neighbours, are what make Calgary great. Trico Centre is celebrating Neighbour Day by inviting all members to bring a neighbor for free on Saturday, June 20. 
  • How to Get 50% off Day Camps: If your family is thinking of becoming Trico Centre members, then this might be the time. Purchase a new family membership in June, July, or August and get 50% off the cost one day camp for each kid. When you purchase a new Family Membership (1‐Adult or 2‐Adult) in June, July, or August you will receive a certificate for 50% off the Non‐Member price of one registered summer day camp for each child listed on the membership. Certificates expire at the end of August, 2015. See Guest Services for details. 
  • Canada Day Trico Centre will be running on a special schedule on Canada Day – see www.tricocentre.ca or pick up a schedule at Guest Services. Bring the whole family for our 50% OFF Drop‐In Swim special from 12:00‐6:00pm. 
  • Registration for Fall 2015 Programs Member Registration is August 4, 5 and ongoing Non‐Member Registration is August 6 and ongoing Lots of new program options – programs can be viewed online after June 22. A pdf (electronic copy) of the program guide will be on the website on Thursday, June 25. We expect paper copies of the Program Guide to be available in our stands on Tuesday, June 30.
