Facility Upgrades

NEW ACCESSIBLE FRONT DOOR

Thanks to our successful application with Employment and Social Development Canada- Enabling Accessibility Fund, we replaced the front doors to the community centre and added wave activated accessibility buttons. We are happy that the community centre is now more accessible for everyone, including those with mobility limitations as well as families with little children.

New doors were installed in June 2023.

ENMAX COMMUNITY SOLAR PROGRAM

We are very excited to share that Riverbend Community Centre will be becoming greener soon! We were successful with our application for the ENMAX Community Solar Program. Several solar panels were installed on the community centre roof in early June 2023 which will help us offset our energy costs.

GARBAGE ENCLOSURE PROJECT

We would like to thank ECCO Recycling (eccorecycling.com) for their generous donation in support of our garbage enclosure project!

Thanks to their generosity, we were able to upgrade materials to no maintenance composite that should last for a long time.
