President - Ryan Munday

Ryan has a background in engineering having spent his career in project management, design, and product development. With his family, he has lived in Riverbend since 2013 and has volunteered in the Riverbend Community Association board of directors since 2016. Ryan has a passion for technology and community with the goal of retaining and recruiting for the RCA board by showing what a great organization it is and the benefits of giving back to your community.

Vice President, Business Operations - Amit Khare

Amit has been a Riverbend resident since 2015 and enjoys many of the facilities that make this a beautiful and unique community in Calgary. When not spending time with his wife and two kids Amit is a consultant helping companies transform their technology and business operations. As a Board Member he is passionate about giving back to the community and ensuring that the Riverbend community continues to sustain, thrive and grow for the future.

Secretary - Vladimir Ivanov

Vladimir has been living in Riverbend since 2010, the main appeal being its proximity to one of the best dog parks in Calgary and a great bike system. Professionally he has been working as a Civil Engineering Technologist in Calgary for over 15 years with several Engineering consulting firms, one of which was among the key designers of Quarry Park. With a passion for helping his community, he hopes his experience in managing Engineering Projects will support the RCA Board in the role of secretary and open the opportunities to meet and experience many new people and events in Riverbend.

Director, Community Projects and Partnerships - Olga Maciejewski

Olga is an MBA-qualified Project and Change Management Professional. Olga specializes in transformational change and supports the implementation of a new provincial electronic health record as her day job.

Olga moved to Riverbend in 2004 and has been involved with RCA since 2017. She started as a communications volunteer and developed 'Stay connected to all things Riverbend' communication platforms for the RCA. Olga also supported the transformational change that took place in the RCA in 2018-2020. While Olga served as a President 2020-23 she focused on securing funding for critical capital projects such as Riverbend All-season Rink and Riverbend Custom Bike Rack.

In Nov 2022, Olga was recognized for her commitment to the Riverbend community with The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.

Olga is excited to have the opportunity to make the community where she is raising her three kids a better place for everyone. In her new role as a Director, Community Projects and Partnerships she will work on various project to beautify our community.

Traffic, Safety and Crime Prevention - Brenda Pereira

Brenda grew up in Riverbend and recently moved back with her family, she believes this is the best place to call home. She currently works in the Oil & Gas industry as a supply chain professional. With a great passion for the community, Brenda decided to join the RCA board as she feels strongly about the importance of giving back to the community. During her downtime you will often see her, along with her family, making the most out of all the beautiful pathways in Carburn Park!

Facility Projects - Ken Schultz

Ken moved to Riverbend in 1982 with his wife Elaine. They raised 3 children while Ken worked in the oil & gas industry as a cost estimator, commuting downtown by bicycle. Last October Ken transitioned into a second career as a licensed residential contractor, which gave him the flexibility to pursue some additional interests. Ken is hoping to use his construction administration and hands-on skills in his board responsibilities.

Volunteer Resources - Natalia Gonzalez

Natalia Gonzalez moved to Riverbend in 2017 with her husband and two children. Natalia is passionate about waste management and has her career in this field.  She is enthusiastic about joining the RCA Board of Directors and was inspired to become a volunteer when studying for her citizenship. Natalia understands having the responsibility of helping others as a volunteer, and her family pushes her to be a better person every day.

Communications - Nichole Wyatt

Nichole has been a Riverbend resident since 2014. She loves spending time in the greenspaces and playgrounds of Riverbend with her daughter and husband. She works in licensing in the public sector enabling projects and people. People are always the best and most important part of anything. Nichole is thrilled to have this opportunity to contribute back to the community.

Director at Large - Alina Cotovanu 

Alina has been a resident of Riverbend since 2014. She is a strong believer in financial literacy and that there is no power for change greater than a community working together. In her spare time, she likes hiking, playing tennis, and reading.
