Kids Summer Soccer

This is an affordable opportunity to help kids stay active, make friends, and have fun over the summer. It is purely recreational fun, not a competitive soccer club.

Recommended ages: Grades K-6

Teams: At the beginning of each game the kids will be split into different levels, roughly based on age and skill levels, and then further divided into teams. Depending on the number of players, games might be 4-on-4, 5-on-5, or 6-on-6.

Games are overseen by Field Leaders. In the field with younger children, the Field Leaders (one per side) help guide the players and encourage engagement in the game. In the fields with older kids, the Field Leaders maintain game flow and act as referees with minimal interference (e.g., pausing the game for line shifts, calling out-of-bounds) and ensuring player safety.

Times: one game per week on Wednesdays from 1st week in July to last week in Aug (July 3, 2019-Aug 28, 2019) 6:30-7:30PM. Skill building workshops offered by Calgary Minor Soccer Association coaches Thursdays 6:30-7:30PM.

Location: Riverbend School soccer field

Cost: $15 per child. [Valid RCA membership is required and can be purchased at the time of registration]

Registration: Program is FULL

NOTE: Parents are expected to remain at the field with their children for the duration of the program.
